Julie, an English student assigned to write a paper about "Nudity". A bit overwhelmed at first she takes on the project by visiting a nudist camping with her boyfriend. But while she learns about nudity and nudism her boyfriend struggles to keep up.
When it is discovered that a young and pretty schoolteacher is a nudist who belongs to a local nudist colony, she is brought up on trial before the local school board and must defend herself against charges of immorality and the questioning of her ability to continue teaching the town's children.

These visuals are interspersed with images of Eastern art, processed for "psychedelic" effect. The narrator relates the practice of yoga to Buddhist philosophy. Naked in the 21st Century by filmmaker T.L. Young is a documentary posing as a film, about the making of a film, posing as a movie. Did you follow that? Well not everyone will or does. This cinematic effort by author and filmmaker T.L. Young is very reminiscent of his literated offering American Nudist a Lost Journal. Like the book this film is a bit of a mashup, trying to be several things at one time.
Imagine living through a Ground Hog Day experience naked. Yep naked, that is the premise of the new Netflix original movie Naked. Rob Anderson (played by Marlon Waynans) wakes up on his wedding day naked in an elevator. He makes every attempt to make it to his wedding and his betrothed but is returned to the elevator naked after an hour to relive that hour again, starting each hour off without clothes.
A young lady inherits a nudist camp. She wants to shut it down, but is persuaded by its members to give the place a look before she takes any action. She agrees, and while touring the camp finds herself attracted to one of the patrons.

Mollie and Alex are part of a growing group of teens and twentysomethings who are embracing the world of public nudity - a contemporary phenomenon that's been driven by Facebook as well as niche websites like The Naked Tea Party. They are on a quest to normalise nudity, question the media's obsession with the body beautiful, and encourage other young people to liberate themselves by simply going naked - in the streets, cafés or at art shows. The new nudists are keen to take the nudist lifestyle beyond the old fashioned naturist clubs. So why is this pastime increasing in popularity and what do the parents think about their child revealing all in the most public of places?
British Naturism are delighted to have been fully involved in this excellent film. We worked closely with production company ZKK over the Summer of 2011, helping them to find people and places. The documentary shows how attitudes to social and public nudity are changing, especially among younger people, who are finding it fun and enjoying the sense of freedom going without clothes brings and challenging the validity of cultural norms.
