The Nudels of NudeLand, Tim Chizmar’s previously announced series is now available. The project was announced a year ago and has now been released. We have been following the project since it was first announced, and Chizmar’s work even longer. It was exciting to be given the opportunity to review the final production release cut. Here is my review
Synopsis: In a truly original story that is naked and not afraid, Meet TIM CHIZMAR, he’s loud and naked, in America that’s how you know he’s Tim Chizmar. Meet LUCZ PADILLA, she’s quieter, religious, and nude, she works at a designer fashion label company in Mexico. Their lives are turned upside-down when these two young nudists are deported to the country of NUDELAND where they can finally live with others that are not Clothes-minded. But even amongst the unique personalities and over-the-top characters (like a reverse Flasher running around) can our heroes ever truly get rid of the shame and anxiety inside and allow themselves to be free? Sure, nude isn’t lewd, but it can come with mental baggage. This movie has heart, humor, and love; it is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Naturist interes t: Naturist interest on The Nudels of NudeLand should be through the roof. As was noted it was previously announced promoted in the naturist community including on this site. There was a fair amount of anticipation since it has been some time since there’s been a naturist entertainment movie release. The naturist community will also be enthused as the movie features many genuine longtime veteran nudists including the aforementioned Tim Chizmar. The player in the naturist cinematic offering all seem comfortable in their skin and bare on screen. Chizmar serves as writer, producer and director. and also plays one of the main characters in this naturist comedy.
Story : The story is a collection of running monologues of nudist stereotypes, tropes and cliches. Farting and turd jokes all find there way into the story line, overshadowing what could be a powerful premise. The storylines of nudists who don’t fit in the mainstream and an outcast boy meets girl is great idea. Chizmar could probably have enlisted some help with the writing for a more polished treatment. The over abundance of old and sometimes tired cliche naturist dialogue “naturists aren’t clothes minded” doesn’t do the main theme and storylines justice. As a result the movie feels like a parody or tongue cheek comedy. I am not sure if that was the intent but the cliche ridden writing leads to that result for this viewer. Despite the story flaws the message and meaning gets across in end, due in no small part to the cast who effectively serve the two main storylines.
Acting : The first thing that I noticed about this movie was the diverse cast. There are people of different races, ages, genders and body spaces. Congratulations to Tim for assembling such a diverse cast, that represents what I hope the naturist community will one day look like. Chizmar and his leading lady Juliana Acosta do a good job as the main characters despite a couple of overly dramatic moments. They improve over the course of the movie making a believable couple. There many familiar nudists faces including artist Virginia Lukai, the owner of Bare Oaks naturist resort and INF president Stephane Deschenes and a cameo by Troy Peterson from Disrobed in the closing credits.
The rest of the supporting cast of The Nudels of NudeLand perform admirably in their roles as well. There are a few standouts, like Michael J Butin, who plays the bad voices in the heads of the main characters and Jeremiah Benjamin who plays the only native born resident of NudeLand turned clothed flasher. There are a few casting choices I wish were different. For example having Al Burke play the dual role of law enforcement officers in two different countries took away from the seriousness of the impact. The other dual roles at the opening scenes didn’t work either .

Production : The production quality of The Nudels of NudeLand is very good, despite the obvious stock video segments and a few disengaging camera angles and cuts early on. Overall there isn’t much to quibble about with the production quality of the movie. The cinematography holds up though it has more of a video than a film quality. The location shots are great. The audio and music delivers well for the movie, though I wasn’t really able to embrace the theme song.

In the final analysis Chizmar’s The Nudels of NudeLand directoral effort despite some flaws, (I could do without the blatant commercials for a nudist web site and a naturist podcast.) accomplishes some fun naturist entertainment. This movie is well worth the viewing time of one hour and thirty-five minutes and the cost of rental/purchase. Kudos to Chizmar who has attempted nudist movie projects before that never made it to completion. I recommend you check out this newest addition to the cinematic naturist entertainment. The movie and bonus features are available now for viewing on NudistHumorist.com
