Naked and Afraid of Love. Now that the Discovery has launched its streaming platform Discovery + they are launching new shows that attract subscribers. They decided to use one of their most popular series on the Discovery channel Naked and Afraid as the foundation for a new show and add a twist. Dating. That is Naked and Afraid of Love.

The show sets out to uncover what happens when 16 complete strangers — 8 single women and 8 single men — attempt to find true love.

There are other naked dating shows like the British Naked Attraction, VH1’s Dating Naked and the Brazilian Se Sobreviver, Case (If you survive , marry). All of these shows had to build their own audience while Naked and Afraid of Love will try to build on the audience of the popular series to establish an audience.

Discovery summarizes the new series Naked and Afraid of Love –

In “normal” dating life we can be easily distracted by clothes, fancy cars, selfie filters – but what happens if we take that all away? Maybe we could fall in love with someone for who they REALLY are. Naked and Afraid of Love .. is stripping dating and relationships down to their most primal level.

Discovery says  “The Naked and Afraid Dating Show You’ve Been Waiting For is Coming” . We will see when Naked and Afraid of Love premieres on August 22 on Discovery channel and  Discovery + streaming platform. CFL will provide a review as soon as possible.
