Synopsis: As they penetrate deeper into the darkness of the forrest, a group of hunters guided by a wolf is getting closer and closer to the source of the original sin. A tale about nudity and censorship, wrapped-up with fantastic tones into an all slow-motion piece.

Naked (Short Film) Makes no claims to be naturist. However as you can see from the synopsis the subject matter is definitely naturist related.

The film is fairly short just over three and a half minutes long. Set in a forest meadow at night it is well shot from a cinematic point of view. It does a good job of tackling the subject of social discomfort with nudity in an innovative and evocative way. It does so in a very short time frame before fading to black.

My one quibble is the casting of a stereotypical “beautiful” type young blond shapely woman as actor to represent public nudity. I think it diminishes the power of the message and feeds the stereotype that only the beautiful fit people get naked and are worthy of our attention. I found myself asking what if an actor with body type that was more relatable to the general public had been cast? Would the poignant message have been even more powerfully communicated?
